Why are so many people are turning to Kambô?

Kambô has been used by tribes for centuries, and is now sweeping the globe as the reports of life-changing health transformations flood in. Kambô is being used day in and day out by thousands of people safely, despite the vast array of sensitivities and physical circumstances of the people receiving it. Even when used by inexperienced practitioners and individuals, this medicine is largely safe, and can still have very significant effects.

Why train as a Kambô practitioner?

Often the ‘traditional’ way of applying Kambô can be very unceremonious, so why the need for study and guidance?

In many ways we, in the West, are different to the jungle folk. We suffer a host of different cultural circumstances, toxicological and sociological diseases, and live in societies where the weak have been surviving for centuries due to advances in medicine. People who come to circles can have a dazzling array of circumstances. Some people get the ‘calling’ to do this work. It means that people in the UK can access this sacred medicine without flying to South America. Becoming a medicine carrier is an honour and a responsibility. It takes a collection of skills, most of which can be learned. In service to this beautiful natural medicine you will be witness to many transformations. You, like us, will most likely be humbled by the power of Kambô

Kambô is a strong medicine and people’s reactions can be varied and intense. It takes a certain type of person to be able to hold space for this. There are lots of skills involved and walking on this path means getting to know health in general in a deep way. This is why we think it’s important to spread this training out, to have continued guidance and community through which to share information and grow together. The practice is young in the West – in terms of knowing how it applies to us and our differing needs, circumstances

Kambô is a sacred medicine, and also a tool. A tool can do damage or repair depending on how it is used. As an energy medicine, the practitioner needs to be sensitive to individual needs, able to assess a client properly to ensure safety and create the ideal environment for the medicine to be received in a healing way. The deeper the level of safety the client receives, the more they will be able to release the ‘panema’ – the jungle term for stuck, trapped and blocked energy.

We believe that a holistic approach to offering Kambô significantly enhances the outcome. We believe that adapting the ceremony culturally whilst respecting the teachings of the tribes is the safest way to offer this medicine

We believe that the safety and efficacy of this medicine can be enhanced by a broad training in healing, space holding and complementary techniques

Why train with us?

On this course you will be training with two highly experienced practitioners (see below for bios). The support we are able to give is face to face in the real world. Separating the two modules allows time for the basic techniques to be mastered, with awareness guidance in the interim such that when the second module is undertaken it can be embodied in a completely different way. Supervised training enhances the speed of learning and reduces the impact of early-practice challenges. Much of the real learning happens ‘in the field’. Our training includes skills which lie outside many of the normal techniques applied by other Kambô practitioners.

Over the 6 months you will be able to learn all the personal skills to be able to decide how much Kambô to give, where to apply it, how to treat the client and how to run a practice in a safe way

As part of the course you will also receive:

  • All food and board, supplements, juices etc. for the 2 residential weeks in Spain
  • 10 supported and supervised sessions with 1-2-1 support in the UK
  • 3 Kambô sessions during the course
  • Tools for energetic diagnostics to take away
  • Ongoing support through online community and access to the teachers
  • Help to become independent and self-sufficient as a practitioner
  • Access to ethically sourced Kambô and other shamanic tools and products

We don’t offer certification for this course. Practitioners take responsibility in each moment for themselves and their practice, and our aim is empower you to work in a way which creates a good reputation for your work, and a high standard of working practice, which will go a long way beyond a piece of paper. You will be welcome to say that you trained with us, of course.

Who this course is for

In order to become a practitioner you need to have had some experience with Kambô, although it is perfect for both those with little or no experience in healing or applying Kambô, and those with lots of experience of either. It is for those with a calling to be in service to healing and to the unfolding of health and happiness.

It’s important that the course you are embarking on is completed before you serve Kambô unsupervised and it’s assumed that by applying for this course you are committing to do this.

The dates for the weeks are as follows:

  • September 2-8 – Everything you need to know to get going – Giovanni Lattanzi
  • March 9-15  – Space creation, Additional tools and advanced healing techniques – Greg Manning
  • There will also be the opportunity to participate in 10 supervised sessions between these dates in apprenticeship – either ones you have organised yourself or ones which are already organised by Greg. In these sessions you will get real and hands-on experience with group sessions with guidance on:
    • Assessing the client
    • Finding, marking and burning the points
    • Observation of the client and reading body language and energetics
    • Client interaction
    • Setting the space and creating safety

These sessions can only be supervised in the UK or Barcelona where Greg offers circles

Both trainings will be held in a beautiful retreat centre near Alicante in Spain. (see below)

Greg Manning

Greg Manning

Sacred Tree Frog

Greg has been working with South American shamanic practices for 20 years, as well as a plethora of other skills he has learnt and uses in combination with the Kambô secretion. After 18 months shadowing a practitioner in monthly sessions, he was trained by Giovanni as a practitioner. Inspired by Giovanni’s merging of the traditional with Western techniques, Greg has gone on to develop his own unique style using the skills he has gathered throughout his life. Combining Chinese medicinal energetic diagnoses with a plethora of healing tools - energy healing, breath work, nutrition, shamanic healing and shadow reflections, Greg helps people to identify the location of the ‘panema’ or stuck/trapped/blocked energy in the energy system.

Greg now works full time as a shamanic practitioner seeing often around 100 clients a months all over the UK. He also teaches shamanic and energy healing, as well as space holding in a 2 year programme of 9 modules each a week long.

As part of this training he will offer his insights on diagnostics, as well as teaching the basics of how to create and hold a ceremonial space, and some basic shamanic healing techniques to assist the Kambô process.
